Charlie joined the QK team three months ago, working as a Technical Apprentice at our Brigg site. To mark this mini-anniversary, we asked him to tell us what he’s been up to and how he has found working at QK:
“I began work within the factory shadowing colleagues on different machines such as the SCM and CNC. Over the course of a month I had spent time at every station, so I had a good understanding of how it worked, quality checks and why certain procedures are necessary. This really put me ahead when moving into the office (becoming technical support apprentice) as I knew what I was contributing towards and why. Since being in the office I have completed a range of tasks such as updating drawings, creating/updating bills of materials and spending some time on my work for college. From the first day everyone has been great and treated me well. I have settled in nicely and I am enjoying my time here and look forward to extending my knowledge further and developing within the company in the future.”
